There is a time for everything,
And a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal…
ECCLESIASTES 3: 1-3

There are now so many diseases that we have to have national organizations to raise money to find a cure or treatment for each one, to keep track of the number of fatalities and to remind us that the disease continues on its rampage.

Wouldn't you like to say to a certain plague, "Cancer your season is over"; "Depression your time is up"; or "Migraine this means war".

The holy scripture tells us in Isaiah that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord".
Isn't it about time for disease
to bow before the Lord.

Take Your Place in the Battle Line.
BECOMING A CHAMPION

National observances for particular illnesses, developmental or mental health conditions, and diseases are listed below by the month of the observation.  Members of the congregation can choose to pray for individuals affected by the medical conditions listed below.  While there is no limit to the number of conditions which you choose to pray for, you may only be listed as champion for three conditions.  The champion should prepare to pray for the medical condition for 12 months and can be renamed champion annually.  The Champion may be praying for individuals affected by a medical condition on behalf of an individual who is currently affected (first name listed) or in memory of someone who fell victim to the disease or illness.

Members of the Congregation should contact the Parish Nurse when you would like to become a prayer champion.  Members should also alert the Parish Nurse of conditions which are not listed or have not received recognition through national observance.  Thank You.
